I was a street musician
Till that wasn't allowed
They made laws against drawing a crowd
But those crowds meant I could pay my rent
Even afford the occasional meal
Ever since then, I haven't felt real

They moved me to shelters where I learned to take a punch

Not to believe that anything good can come from wondering, just from walking
no one ever found peace through talking
